This was a wide project involving naming the company, brand identity, icons, documents and team clothing designs.
The previous iteration of the company was named for the owners, they felt it wasn’t as memorable as they’d like. The name Spectre was a moment of inspiration on my part. The word suited the feel they wanted from the brand – sleek, cool feel with an air of mystery – and the connotations of being ghosts, in the background, making clients web products work made the name perfect for the brand.
I used Courier New to give the feel of a top secret document written out on a typewriter. The codebreaker animation was a fun addition.
Icons showing the values and services of Spectre
At the time Spectre were a values led business delivering a range or services. They needed a way to explain those values and services without reems of text or boring clichés.
The icons became a key to show what services had been enlisted to deliver a project. They appeared on the website, in sales brochures and in proposals, a little part of the brand language showing viewers how things work in Spectre’s brand world.
